Primary schools are the latest to get involved Arsenal’s Double Club, an exciting initiative that allows pupils to work with football trainers on the field and work on football related topics in class to support their language learning. On the afternoon of April 2 at the Emirates Stadium, the new phase of the languages programme was launched by Arsène Wenger who himself speaks 5 languages.
The event was also attended by Jim Knight, The Schools Minister, Leonard Orban, Commissioner for Multilingualism and Lid King, National Director for Languages, as well as hundreds of enthusiastic children (and football fanatical adults). |
