Who we are:
The Languages Company was set up in 2008 by Dr Lid King and works in support of a coherent approach to languages and multilingualism in our society. We are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of our contacts and visitors to this website. We are committed to using our contact lists only to inform contacts of the Language Company’s activities and issues of language policy and practice on a non-commercial basis.
This privacy policy sets out how we collect data and how we keep it safe.

Mailing Lists:
The Languages Company maintains contacts list of individuals and organisations with whom it has worked on language-related projects and initiatives. The information collected may include personal information such as name, email address, mailing address and organisation/job title; participation TLC projects and/or events; professional areas of interest/expertise; dietary requirements.
We may use this data to stay in touch about the Languages Company’s activities and news relevant to the language policy and practice and to your areas of expertise or interest; and to contact you if we need to obtain or provide information; and to check our records periodically.
We sometimes use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to send a newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy notice. Third Parties:
The Language Company’s policy is not to share personal information with other organisations.
